When I stumbled upon the invitation to join a tea party blog hop, hosted by "A Fanciful Twist,"
I knew just what I would share!
So, indulge me a moment, as I take you down the rabbit hole, to a very merry un-baby shower!

My sweet friend was expecting her first baby - a girl - and we celebrated over tea.
It was so much fun!
We had a "Door Person"...
"KNOCK! KNOCK!" Come on in!

And an extra large clock...
"I'm late / I'm late / For a very important date. / No time to say "Hello, Goodbye". / I'm late, I'm late, I'm late.." - White Rabbit
"I'm late / I'm late / For a very important date. / No time to say "Hello, Goodbye". / I'm late, I'm late, I'm late.." - White Rabbit

Flower People...
There's plenty of room for you at our tea party!!!
And, A fun and festive invitation....
purchased on Etsy, from THIS sweet shop!

After everything was put together, it transformed my backyard into a fun, whimsical, WONDERLAND!
"There's a place, like no place on Earth... A land full of WONDER, MYSTERY, and DANGER!
Some say to survive it, you need to be as MAD as a HATTER!... Which, luckily I am!"

The cheshire cat made his appearance...
Sneaky little thing!

Mad Hatter top hats made from cardboard and scrapbook paper...
and, tarnished silver sets....
Weird & crazy... fun & strange...

Gifts for the baby and mommy to be...
A fun table for Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum..
(foam cut into circles, made to look like the characters from A in W, and dum dum suckers poked in..)
Silly is best... never be too serious to enjoy yourself! Belly laughs make for a good time!

Vintage Alice In Wonderland books were placed throughout the party (on table tops), and one was used as the "guest book"...

...and, the food. OOOOH the food!
There were so many yummy dishes!
...EAT ME! ...DRINK ME!
...EAT ME! ...DRINK ME!

"Have I gone mad?" - Mad Hatter
"I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers! But, I will tell you a secret... all the best people are!" - Alice

Finger foods (fruits, veggies, sandwiches, dips, etc.) were served, alongside cupcakes, punch, and warm drinks (coffee and hot tea)

Did you notice the playing card garland (characters from A in W), and the flamingos (from the croquet court)?

"Sometimes I believe in as many as 6 impossible things, before breakfast!"

I so hope you've enjoyed your trip down the rabbit hole?
We had so much fun celebrating the new sweet bundle that my friend was expecting.
I'm thrilled to say - she had her, named her Cathlynn (named after her grandmothers who are both in heaven), and both mommy and baby are great!
Such a sweet bundle of a blessing!
Thanks so much for joining me for tea, today!
