When I host a party, I love to have fun snacks out, even if we are cooking a meal.
This candy tray I made is the perfect addition to any summer party!
This tray was fun to throw together, and was a hit with the little ones.
(Okay, if I'm being totally honest, the adults chowed down on it, too!)
It was super easy and cheap to make.
I went to the dollar store, grabbed some cute flower suckers, gummy fish, gummy ring shaped candy (to mimic lifesavers/inner tubes), and gum balls (beach balls).
I skewered the fish onto the suckers, sprinkled some "sand" (brown sugar) on the tray, and scattered the candy around. I added a pink plastic cup (I had in the cabinet), wrapped some cute grosgrain ribbon around, stuffed it with pink tulle and shoved the sucker skewers in.
I spent $5 total on the candy, and I think its enough to give at least 10 kids a yummy treat.
Happy Summer, y'all!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute, idea!
By the way, you're not the only one that wanted to lick the screen, when I scrolled down and saw the potato salad LOL
