Wide Open Wednesday - Confession # 7... I Hear Noises At Night...

I'm a sissy... I confess.

So far, my confessions have been:
#1 - I had a bed frame in my kitchen..
#2 -  I did the pet switch... we lost my daughter's baby kitten (awful), and I found one that looked just like the one that passed away - we were able to avoid the "death talk", for a while anyway...
#3 - I forgot about my child needing to eat.... she took a croissant from the donut shop for lunch.
#4 - I hide the candy, and sometimes I hide while I eat candy (a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, when there's a three year old in the house, y'all)
#5 - I let myself go... I don't spend as much time on my looks as I should...
#6 - I let myself go (part 2)... I am not as concerned with my health and family's health as I should be...
#7 - I hear noises at night.

Okay, y'all.  Before you start measuring me for a straight jacket... hear me out.

One of my biggest fears is my house being broken into at night.
We live in a nice neighborhood - little old people all around, and we have a wonderful alarm system on our home... But, (especially since we had our little one), I have the HARDEST time sleeping... every little noise wakes me up!

Before I go to bed, I've been praying that the Lord would give me a peace, and have been reciting the verse, "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." 1 John 4:4

Any other mamas out there that are worry warts?!  I feel like I am the world's worst!

  1. YOU are not alone..tho it may just be a MOM thing? Recently when I admitted to my family that I knew I could not actually use either of those 'weapons' nearby ..they told me to get A FEW CANS OF WASP SPRAY> Now I know I COULD USE THAT!

    1. AAAAAH! That is genius! Wasp spray!!! :) Never thought of it... and that would deter them, at least long enough to get the real weapons out. That is one of my biggest fears.. we keep ours' locked away, and I am afraid we won't be able to get to it in time... wasp spray! YES!
