It's All Gone

Whewh! What a day I had yesterday!

I'm sure you've all noticed that Stringtown Home has been missing for a couple of days...

It's not coming back.

Well, the old isn't coming back.

I wrote a post yesterday morning, that apparently was saturated in a Wordpress killer coding.

I hit submit, and POOF! Everything disappeared. I couldn't access the blog, I couldn't even login to the admin side.

I called godaddy, and they informed me that it was an issue that Wordpress would need to tend to. So, I scoured the forums, spoke with many Wordpress "gurus", we removed all of my themes, we removed all of the plugins, the image files, etc. Basically, everything short of what was inaccessible, we removed. I held my breath every moment that something was deleted, but little did I know.

It was irreversible. Everything needed to go.

I know... I know... you wiser Wordpress users are screaming at your screen, shouting, "USE YOUR BACKUP!". I had nothing backed up. I had deleted the posts that I transferred from Blogger, because it was so confusing to have so many different urls, and I hadn't spent any time, yet, backing up the newly published Wordpress site. Oy vey!

So... there you have it. It's gone. And, while I nearly cried over the two years of blogging material that went out the window, I'm kind of excited about starting with a clean slate. Just, please be patient with me! I'm learning, and it will build up as I can figure out where everything goes, again.

Wow! There's a lot of work to be done... but it'll get there! I'm still hosting Tips & Tricks Tuesday, so stop by for that... I'm counting on you!

Yesterday, when I realized there was no help for the weary, I pushed aside the blog, and began working on several wreath orders....

Back to School Wreath - Halloween Witch Wreath - Library wreath - Wreath for a Teacher - www.stringtownhome.netThese were fun to make, and definitely took my mind off of what was happening on here.

I know that this can be done, and I'm not going to let it ruin my bloggy fun!

The same thing happened to Brenda from Cozy Little House, and I can tell you that I still visit her blog everyday, and I still love what I read... it hasn't kept me from visiting her! I hope you'll keep coming by here, too! I love my readers!
