Good Days With The One's We Love...

It's been a wonderful two days... I've spent them in my mama's kitchen...

We've canned and had girl talk over a couple way too many cups of coffee.
((Wait.. is there really such a thing as too many cups of coffee?!))

I also brought my camera, and had to take some photos of my mom's gorgeous flowers.
My parents are talented gardeners!

I may have taken a few too many pictures... sorry!

"Daisy, Daisy... up with the morning dew...and now it's time to rise & shine as I witness the day for you..."

My grandaddy sang that song, often.  We miss him, terribly.  Yesterday was his birthday.
I'm sure it surpassed any birthday he ever had on Earth....
Heaven's gotta have the best birthday parties... ya know?

Cabbage... can you believe it?  In the Texas summer... they got it to grow!

She planted flowers in an old feed trough... love it!
Rusty, chippy, lovin'.

Canning peas... Fantastic way to spend your day...

Yummy cinnamon jelly that my daddy bought at the Farmer's Market... It reminds me of apple cider.  YUM!

A storm was brewing, and the birds were trying to find a safe place... the ducks ran for their cozy spot, and the cute little tiny ones that would fit in the martin house shoved their way in before the winds and rain blew in...

There's a reason we love to go to Mimi & Pa's house... it's like a mini vacation.  Good for the heart & soul...

Not sure I could love them more than I already do...

I hope your Monday & Tuesday were full of wonderful moments with the ones you love!

  3. Well, I echo the first comment! No such thing as too much coffee, pictures, flowers, cooking, canning or spending time with your wonderful Mother! My Mun and Dad are my Best friends, too! I love each and every moment with them. As i enjoyed each and every word you shared here! Words spoken from the heart are always the best! My parents are gifted in their garden, as well. But, I'm afraid even my Mum would concede it is no contest in comparison.
    Hugs & Blessings,
    Theresa.
