It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Spring...

The trees are bloomin', and promising a bountiful harvest of pears, apples, oranges, blackberries, etc... birds are chirpin' and bees are buzzin' about, doing their work.

I. love. springtime.

I've been working on a spring garland for my front door, and I found the cutest speckled eggs in the Easter section at Walmart.  Can you believe it?!  A big ole' box for $3!  Yes!  I'm going back for more.  What was I thinking, buying just one box?!

I made this carrot door hanger last year.  It was easy - left over drop cloth (canvas), cut into a carrot shape (two pieces, same size), stuffed with newspaper & hot glued on the edges as a seam... painted and greenery added, then a green burlap bow (added this year to marry with the garland around the door).

Happy Spring!

The door was surrounded with a basic, green, work garland from Hobby Lobby.  I added brown and lime polka dot fabric (Walmart), grapevine garland (it took 3 - Hobby Lobby), Burlap ribbon (tan and green - Hobby Lobby), Burlap Carrots that I made (see tutorial, here), eggs (Walmart) glued to the ribbon (didn't want to mess up the material), and plastic carrots found at an antique mall in town...

Happy Spring, y'all!  The Easter Bunny is sure to be a happy fella, when he stops by my house!
